LKN River Chase Remodel

This large-scale renovation, located on the lakefront of Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC, was a true transformation, showcasing a stunning custom railing system that seamlessly complemented the wide-plank engineered hardwood floors, which extended throughout the entire home. The European white oak flooring, finished with a wire-brushed texture, adds both warmth and character. As part of the renovation, the front door was replaced with a bold, yet sophisticated design, creating a unique focal point that truly stands out.

The great room features a beautifully boxed ridge beam, along with a striking, tastefully designed opening leading into the kitchen. Both elements were stained to match the flooring and cabinetry, creating a cohesive, elegant look throughout the space. Prior to the renovation, the kitchen was separated from the living room by a wall with only a small doorway. Working closely with the engineers, we were able to remove the wall, creating an open-concept design that is perfect for large gatherings.

The kitchen itself is nothing short of spectacular, featuring a three-tone cabinetry design that is unlike anything we’ve seen before. The color palette adds depth and sophistication, elevating the entire space. The appliance package complements the modern design with a white matte finish on both the fridge and stove, lending a contemporary edge to the space.

To enhance the kitchen’s ambiance, low-voltage lighting was seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry, providing a warm, inviting glow that beautifully highlights the contents. New windows and doors were also installed, allowing an abundance of natural light to flood the room. In addition, the new lighting plan included flush-mounted recessed LED lights and elegant pendant lighting over the island, offering both functional and atmospheric lighting options.

One of the most striking features of this renovation is the custom water-jet mosaic tile backsplash. Each tile was carefully laid piece by piece to ensure a flawless installation. The design is reminiscent of Van Gogh's "Starry Night," making it a captivating focal point that brings both artistry and character to the space. This renovation is a true testament to craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a bold vision for creating a timeless, beautiful home on the shores of Lake Norman.
